When Sensation Said Goodbye Forever

ID&t has become one of the most important promoters in the world. In fact, they created marvels such as Tomorrowland or Mysteryland. Also Sensation, an impressive festival that was being held since 2000 at the Amsterdam Arena where many celebrated turning the Ajax stadium into the world’s greatest nightclub for a full day year after year.

That is what Sensation was, with majestic assemblies, leaving the fortunate attendees breathless upon stepping into the massive arena to witness the incomparably amazing show, only of a single but wonderful day.

Sensation in Brief

Sensation quickly turned into a tour that has reached 34 countries from every corner of the planet, raising its fame and followers globally, to become with all the rights, a mythical brand of night entertainment. Surprisingly Sensation finally said goodbye to Amsterdam, which was its most iconic home and place, the most spectacular stage in which it also was developed, that served each year as the beginning of a new show, which would from time to time travel to the rest of the world. If you did not assisted to a Sensation at the Amsterdam Arena, let yourself to know that you have not been able to live 100% your spirit.

Final

“Final” was the last episode of this beautiful story and it was during July 8, under the sad slogan “Dear Amsterdam, it’s time to say goodbye.” For this emotional and exciting moment, Sensation had several delicacies and surprises, starting with an impressive line-up consisting of Mr. White, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, Fedde Le Grand, Hardwell and Axwell Ingrosso. But there was also a surprise guest which they announced with a heavy clue “the greatest legend in the world”. Some people expected it to be Armin van Buuren, without discarding Tiësto, although what we were sure about is that it was a very special night, if not the best, in which those of us who have experienced Sensation at some point shed some tears.

Sensation in our hearts

If it was not enough, Fedde Le Grand, considered to be the resident DJ of Sensation, set music to that special moment of all Sensation, known as the Megamix, with a mixture of the themes that have marked those amazing 18 years in which it was celebrated. Finally some of the most important DJs from Holland made a final act to dismiss as it deserved, this unparalleled event in the world. Never miss the opportunity to go to Tomorrowland, it is still happening and it is by far one of the most similar event to Sensation.
